Cute workout gear is a major motivator for me to hit the gym. For yoga, I like 3/4 length leggings and tops with fun strap detailing. Lululemon and Adidas by Stella McCartney are two of favorite brands, but Target also has a great selection of more affordable options.

Designer sunglasses are one of my favorite splurge items. Warby Parker is one of few designers that make their glasses in-house. This results in higher-quality eyewear for a fraction of the typical price. And, for every pair of glasses sold, they distribute a pair to someone in need. (One million pairs have already been distributed!)
Warby Parker’s limited edition Beacon collection frames were designed to accompany “late night dates, rooftop sunrises, and everything in between.” Photographer Petra Collins shot the amazing imagery for the collection in downtown Manhattan. The glasses are representative of effortless, candid, cool style. I’m loving the oversized Nancy frame in lemon (pictured above). The yellow is a fresh pop of color, but still muted enough to be worn as a neutral. Starting today, the collection is available online at Warby Parker.

Jelly sandals are another trendy footwear option this summer. Stuart Weitzman makes a pair, but the ones I’m wearing cost only $20 at Urban Outfitters! As I mentioned in my previous post, Birkenstocks are tricky to wear. Jellies, on the other hand, can be paired with just about anything.

After much contemplation, I gave in to the ‘stock trend. I’m wearing Topshop’s version and they are quite comfy! It’s no wonder why these affordable sandals are a current favorite among trendsetters. But, if you’re thinking of getting on board, tread carefully. Just because Birkenstocks are trending, doesn’t make it acceptable to wear them with any old outfit. The look can easily enter granny territory if you don’t consider my rules below.
How to Pull Off Birkenstocks:
- Pair your ‘stocks with a feminine ensemble
- Keep additional accessories minimal and sleek
- Make sure to wear with a fresh pedicure to avoid man-toes

Last summer, I published the first edition of my dorm room shopping guide. To my surprise, it has been the most viewed post of all time on my blog. Logically, I decided to have another go at the home decor category. This guide follows the same format as the first edition; it’s basically just a compilation of a ton of really cute stuff, organized into a few categories. Enjoy!

I received my third VoxBox from Influenster a few weeks ago. My free goodies included NYC lipstick, Rimmel London foundation, Broadway Nails imPRESS manicure, a Pilot Acroball Pure White pen, Red Rose Tea water enhancer, and Playtex Sport Fresh Balance.
The Red Rose Tea water enhancer is my favorite item out of the box. Just one drop turns water into tea! The blackcurrant raspberry flavor I received is delicious!
Selfie wearing Rimmel London Stay Matte foundation and NYC Expert Last lipstick. The light ivory foundation was the perfect shade for my skin and the forever fuchsia lipstick is such a fun color for spring!

A rainy day look from a few weeks ago when I was testing out my camera’s self timer feature. Living in Chicago, it’s not much of a treat to wear my rain boots. I have been rotating wear between my three pairs of rubber boots for months now. Snow, ice, and salt on the sidewalk is an unsafe condition for any footwear that can’t be wiped clean with a paper towel.

I haven’t been doing outfit posts lately because I’ve been bundled up in my coat every day. Negative temperatures don’t make for an exciting wardrobe. Below are some pictures of my winter attire, Jamberry nails, and other stuff.
